When “the weather outside if frightful, and the fire is so delightful,” all I want to do is stay home. I absolutely LOVE a cold, rainy day where I can stay in my pajamas, curl up on the couch and watch movies all day. There is just something about the frigid temperatures that turns me in to a true homebody. So with that in mind, today I wanted to cater the gift guide to the homebody in your life! You know you have that person who loves to stay home and be lazy, (which is absolutely ok!) so you should cater to their desires this Christmas season. I have rounded up some ideas I know I would love for my lazy days so hopefully this will inspire you as well! Stay cozy!
I will be the first to say that on a regular basis, I prefer to live in my gym clothes. A good pair of leggings and sneakers…yes please. So with that being said, I have decided lately to actually up my gym game and really get my workout on. Not that I haven’t been doing anything, but I have definitely been a little lazy as of late. So now, I have gotten back on track and am ready to hit the gym!
So this entire gift guide is on my Christmas wish list. I am so in love with the copper kitchen accessories and eventually would love our entire kitchen will be filled with them. From wine openers to mixers, this beautiful shade would be show stopping in ANY kitchen! Even if you aren't a fan of the copper though, use this guide as source of ideas as well! Each of these items in a stainless steel would make any chef happy if I had to guess!
Christmas is right around the corner, which means I have already started my Christmas shopping. I am definitely one that is guilty of starting months in advance, because when I see something I think someone will like I will buy it and “save” it for holiday or birthdays. This year I wanted to put together different gift guides for you all to help answer that awkward question, “what do you want for Christmas?” Hopefully these will give you ideas for those in your life who might be difficult to buy for! There will be themed guides, so to start, we are targeting the traveler. Everyone has that person their life that loves to travel. I mean, I am definitely that person for my people! But really, I love experiencing new places/cultures, so I am usually always asking for flights or hotels on my Christmas list. And while it is not always easy to buy someone a flight, there are plenty of items out there that are helpful for all sorts of vacations! So here I am sharing a few gift ideas of things I do not travel without!
So I am currently packing for yet another vacation, while also planning upcoming Black Friday posts for you all! We are heading to the Smokey Mountains for the Thanksgiving holiday and the temperatures are supposed to be MUCH cooler than we have had here in Louisiana. Naturally this means I need to shop for some new sweaters, right? Jon Luke would probably argue that statement, but the good news is I have found some great deals! So great as a matter of fact, I wanted to share with you!
Last week, we truly experienced fall weather here in Louisiana. Thankfully the temperatures are still cooler, but I am ready for it to be in full swing. I have had such the itch to wear sweaters and boots, it is unreal. And of course every time I go shopping now that is all I want to buy. I have linked some items above that I have recently purchased, or still have my eye on because there are just some things that I have to have for the fall season!
Even as fall is approaching, I am still loving all things blush. This neutral shade continues to catch my eye and I am loving these pieces that I will be able to incorporate into my fall wardrobe. There are always a few items I like to make sure I have in my closet as the weather begins to change:
I cannot believe it is almost July! But you know what that means?!? The 4th of July is right around the corner and it is time to get ready for days at the lake/beach, cookouts and fireworks! A random fun fact about me: I LOVE fireworks. I mean, I am obsessed. I don't really care to play with, or shoot them off, myself, but I could watch them all day long. With this being said, the 4th of July is one of my favorites because I have so many great memories of watching fireworks growing up. It was very common for us to head to the lake for the 4th (or the beach), relax, grill and wrap up the day with fireworks and ice cream. I mean, can you say perfect day or what? While at the beach, or relaxing in the sun, I love to be comfortable in a cute suit, cut offs or a light summer dress. I have rounded up a few things I have my eye on right now that would be perfect for the 4th this year!
With most schools in my area out for spring break this week, I decided to have a "Currently Coveting Spring Break" edition. My mind is definitely on a beach somewhere right now, taking my shopping eye with it. Strangely enough (or not) Louisiana has had a cold front come through, but all I want to do it head to the pool and finally show some skin! It is difficult to have these new spring items to wear, but not the weather to wear them for. Hopefully soon there will be a shift, because like I said, I am enjoying the white sandy beaches in my head. While we are not heading anywhere this week for spring break, we do have a fun adventure on the horizon so my warm weather attire will need a few new additions soon and these are some I love!
Spring is right around the corner and I cannot wait to shift in to my warm weather wardrobe! It is clear that I am loving off-the-shoulder tops, blush, and rose gold accessories. Sometimes I feel like I naturally flock to a darker wardrobe in the winter, so it is always a must for me to head straight to light and bright colors when the weather warms up! I can tell my spring look will definitely consist of flared pants and florals, paired with bangles and fun jewelry. I have also been crushing on this beautiful double buckle belt and think it will be a great accessory to have! I have been patiently waiting for warmer temperatures, but I am ready to give Mother Nature a little push now!
As we near the busiest and best (online) shopping days of the year, I wanted to share some stocking stuffer ideas for her and him. I love little gifts that may not have necessarily been on my list, because they are the perfect surprise! Putting thought into a gift (even something small) is always meaningful and I love being able to do that for people in my life. I thought about items that I love (and would love in my stocking!) to help give you ideas for the people in your life who may need a little something extra in their stocking!
Only three more weeks until Thanksgiving!! Can you believe it?? While I thoroughly enjoy Halloween and the festivities that accompany it each year, I LOVE the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. I feel as though Thanksgiving is the perfect preparation time for Christmas, and I love celebrating with friends. This year we will be hosting a "Friendsgiving" meal, so I have wanted the house decorated ever since it was appropriate to put out a pumpkin. Neutral colors and a cozy feel are what I am striving for currently and I love it!
It is safe to say I have a "color crush." I am so in love with all things burgundy right now, that my closet is slowly being overtaken by this beautiful shade. The deep red is all things fall and looks great, no matter what the item is! Whether it is an article of clothing, accessories, or my lipstick I most likely will be wearing burgundy every day in some way, shape, or form. Some of the items above may have already made their way in to my closet (guilty), so I am sure you will be seeing them very soon!
It is still warm in Louisiana, but Fall is officially here! I cannot believe we are less than a week away from October. In honor of the first day of fall happening earlier this week, I wanted to share some items I have my eye on. I am so ready to break out my fall wardrobe and am currently on the hunt for the perfect neutral pieces to add to it. Neutral sweaters, booties and of course a little leopard to spice up an outfit will be perfect for the cooler months, providing a warm and classic look. Finding the right accessories for this time of year are also important, so a wool hat and simple scarf can be the key. Bring on the cooler weather!
