Stripes

An honest Monday for you, but something that has been on my mind lately is my inability to say 'no.'  When I tell you I over-commit myself to things, I really do.  And while I pride myself on this "being able to do it all" bit...I really can't (oh how it hurts to say it out loud).  On the outside I look all find and dandy but really I get home to Jon Luke, complain about a headache and just want to get in bed.  I am EXHAUSTED.  It has taken time (and I am still guilty of not completely letting go of things) but I want to take a step back.  I want to be able to take a break, be proud of the things I did accomplish and RELAX.  And honestly...there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.  It is okay to take stuff off your plate, because at the end of the day, there are still things you need to feed in order to feel refreshed.  It may be dedicated time with Jon Luke, or just quiet time for myself, but either way I want to be able to fully invest in things, while still feeding myself.

Dress | Bag | Hat | Sunglasses | Necklaces

Stripes.  You gotta love 'em right?  Well not always the case, but for this look, I was IN LOVE with this striped dress.  The combination of the deep v in the front and the open back was perfect for the summer heat, but the sleeve and the length of the dress will be great for fall.  I love the olive shade of green and seriously could not get enough of this dress.  For this look, I mixed in my gold choker necklaces and Lack of Color Hat to add more to the look, but you can always keep it simple, because the dress speaks for itself!
