I have to say, I have truly stepped out of my comfort zone this summer and worn some serious color. I am sure you can attest to this if you have been around for a while because I was always pretty good at sticking to my neutrals. I don't know what has gotten in to me, but I have felt so inspired to break out the colorful pieces...and I love it!
When I think about it, they say you are inspired by places you visit, which definitely has to be the case with my travels lately. The California trip was so much fun and SO FULL OF COLOR! I mean, how can you go to Palm Springs and not feel bright and cheery? I don't think it is possible. But this is a perfect example of the theory. I work hot pink, yellow, and a rainbow of color in this Free People dress so it is pretty obvious I was feeling inspired by something!
When I was shopping for California, I came across this Free People dress and was pretty smitten. For one, it is like a crochet material which made me think it would not be super hot. And second, the colors in this dress were so fun, I really couldn't pass it up. With the open back and slits on the side, this dress seriously gives me all the feels for warm weather because I AM NOT BURNING UP! Which is a win in my book!
