There are times when my mind is seriously blown at the creative things in this world. I mean, think about it. People had to take the time to invent something in order for us to use it. Their mind drafted up an image of a space or an object that, at the time, probably sounded crazy to everyone else around them because no one had ever SEEN it. Isn't it crazy how much we truly depend on our sight? Without being able to see, feel or touch something we panic at the thought of taking the leap. But the reality is, without that leap and without that faith, no one will be able to experience our thoughts for themselves.
I can't help but think about the faith someone must have in order to give something life. A blog, a company, a physical item, a dream...they all start somewhere without knowing their possibility or their potential. Take this art installation, Seven Magic Mountains. It sits about twenty minutes outside of Las Vegas just off a main interstate. When the artist thought of this moment and about creating this experience for others to see, do you think they knew they would have people visit from all over the world to see their brightly painted boulders? No...probably not. But with both, faith and creativity, their dream came to life and we were blessed with an experience I will never forget. Speaking from my personal experience, I had NO idea what would come of Gracefully Taylored. And I still have NO idea what till come of it in the future. But it is with some creativity and A LOT of faith, that I continue to pour into this little dream of mine.
So with all of this being said, I can't help but think about faith and creativity together. Creatives allow their minds to venture to places that some people cannot even imagine. Once they are there, they draw the blueprint and figure out how to bring their dream to life. But without that bit of faith, even as small as a poppy seed, they may never have given it that first breath. I just have to stop and be so thankful for colors and places and visions and creativity. Because without it, life would be pretty boring.
When we planned our trip to Utah, we decided to fly into Las Vegas because there were things we wanted to see there before we began the drive. Seven Magic Mountains was at the top of my list because...well, look at it...it is magical. As I have said before, I am blown away at what people create in their minds and then bring to life for us to experience. It truly amazes me. But anyways, I knew when we visited this spot, I wanted something bright and fun to wear. This set from Free People was the perfect option. Not only is the vibrant color perfect for summer, but it is lightweight, which makes it perfect for the heat. I could not be more pleased with how this set worked out and will definitely be wearing it a ton this summer!
