Fall Trends

Can you believe it is almost October? Where has the time gone…I mean for real. Well, with October being RIGHT around the corner, I figured it was time for me to sit down and crank out a blog post. I won’t lie to you all, the inspiration has been lacking lately. I am not sure if it is just the weather and feeling like I cannot truly embrace fall? Or maybe I am itching to go somewhere? I am not sure BUT I’m going to power through and wanted to tell you all about some of my favorite FALL TRENDS today!

If you are anything like me, you have that “I hate to see summer go, but love to watch it leave when the temperatures drop” mentality when it comes to fall. I LOVE when the leaves change and I can wear boots and a sweater, but I also love the beach and being in a bathing suit so….I guess I am conflicted. But this year I really am excited about the fall season and am LOVING the fashion trends that are hovering around. From animal print to the western trend, to blazers and power suits, I have started to feel the inspiration bubble when I think about the outfits I can put together!

Whether you are ready or not, fall is here…so let’s embrace it! Embrace your weather (even if it is still 100 degrees), embrace the fading tan lines and embrace the fashion! Here are some fall trends that I am LOVING right now to help prep your closet!

Animal Print - I have been LOVING leopard lately. From skirts to booties, blouses AND even pants, this print is making a huge comeback in my closet and I don’t hate it. One of my favorite purchases has been a leopard print satin midi skirt that I cannot wait to pair with over-sized sweaters!

Western Vibes - This trend is going to be obvious in my boot selection this season. I have serious heart eyes for all the western boots out there right now. I guess the Texas girl in me is still going strong!

Leather - An obvious choice for me is a leather mini skirt or a leather bomber jacket, as I always love adding leather to my look. A leather piece can make such a statement and add so much to even the simplest looks!

Blazer/ Power Suits - I am ALL about the blazer and power suit situation. I have yet to find the full power suit I love, but I have blazers galore! Pair it with your boyfriend jeans and booties, or a midi skirt and mules and you will wrap up your look perfectly!

Statement Headwear - It is pretty obvious in my Instagram right now that I love hats. Give me all the hats because they help yo girl out on a bad hair day (am I right?). Bur seriously, find yourself a wide brim fedora, or even a beret and get to styling!

Plaid - To be honest, this one took me a second to get used to but now I love it! Being able to work some prints into my fall looks are so much fun and plaid makes it easy!

Corduroy - I recently purchased a corduroy blazer and am IN LOVE with it. I love the adding this texture to my looks and love the fall vibes I get when wearing it!

If you live in the south like me, then some of these trends may be hard for you to start playing around with but I promise once the temps drop they will be worth it! Hopefully this will help you when you are styling your next look…happy shopping!
