If you have been around for a minute then you probably followed along as I ventured down to New Orleans a couple weeks ago for a little girls weekend. And also if you have been following for a while then you know I am a SUCKER for a cute hotel. Thank goodness we found that with The Henry Howard Hotel.
Located just off of Magazine street, this sweet hotel is filled with charm and New Orleans flair. With it’s inviting front porch and true NOLA exterior, you as a guest want nothing more than to grab a drink and enjoy your time on the front porch. But once you get inside, it is even better.
If it weren’t for the blue front door with the Henry Howard logo on it, you might think this gem was a historic New Orleans home. And the best part is, you feel that way when you walk in! Upon entry, there are stairs taking you up to the second level, but to your right (through a beautiful tall doorway) is the sitting room. I liked to refer to this area as my “living room” for the weekend. A place I could sit around with my friends and talk, or have my coffee in the morning…it was just what I needed. The marble bar that sits in the center of the room is not only eye catching, but is also ready to pour you a drink. Sit and enjoy the space, take it to the front porch, or back to your room…whatever you need to be comfortable.
As you can see in the images, the rooms are just as cute as the living room area. The simple, yet classic New Orleans flair continues throughout this hotel, right into the guest rooms. With musical instruments, highlighting the famous New Orleans jazz you always hear about, to the beautiful rugs and window dressings…this sweet spot was everything I needed in a hotel. Absolutely everything.
The Henry Howard Hotel is full of New Orleans Charm and sophistication. It is tucked away, close to Magazine street, just minutes away from some of my favorite restaurants and bars. This sweet hotel is full of history and sophistication, and makes you feel like you are a local., or better yet, makes you feel like you are home.
If you are looking to get away for the weekend, I strongly suggest a stay at The Henry Howard Hotel. Go enjoy that side of New Orleans. Take things slow, eat some good food, maybe grab a drink on Magazine and truly enjoy The Big Easy.
