Small Town Life

This past weekend, Jon Luke and I decided to take some time to go see his family.  These opportunities are so special to us, and we try to visit our families as often as possible.  We are extremely lucky because we have the best of both worlds between my family and his.  With mine, we get to go to the city, see the sights, shop, etc.  With his, it is all about heading back to that small town where everybody knows your name.  He grew up in what some might call, "a one stoplight town," but we love being able to get away from the real world and relax.  When we are there, it is more about sleeping in, enjoying the day on the front porch and keeping things casual.  Also, with the land his parents live on, the little man has a lot of room to run!

I picked up this jacket on sale at Forever 21 over the summer.  I love the utility look it has to it, but also how loose and relaxed it fits.  The material is SO soft, it feels like I am wrapped in a blanket.  While it is light enough for me to throw on in this heat, I also think it will be great layered with sweaters in the fall.  I am crushing hard on this army green color and have a feeling that it is going to be a fall staple in my closet!

I LOVE my Hunter Boots because I can throw them on while running around the camp, add socks to them in the winter, and naturally, keep my feet dry in the rain.  They are so versatile and I love how the vibrant red color stands out.  I am also a sucker for a good pair of jean shorts because, lets face it, I live in them during our warm (and extremely muggy) Louisiana summers.  This pair is so comfortable and soft, I sometimes forget they are jeans!
