True story: I love a set. And by set I mean top & skirt, top & shorts, or even a good suit. I can remember when I was in college and I had to buy my first suit for an interview. I had NO idea what I was looking for and I can promise you I did not love many of them. I mean, it is hard to find a suit that is flattering and at the time, I wanted no part of it. Thankfully though, my style (and my maturity) has evolved and I have come to love a good suit. I have several options that I wear for work, some with pencil skirts and some with trousers, and I love how clean they are. With that being said though, I have started to work the "fun" suit into my everyday wardrobe. Something that is funky/casual that I can wear to dinner or a casual lunch meeting it perfect for me, so when I found this Chriselle x JOA suit at Nordstrom...I was in love!
I seriously cannot believe Easter is this weekend. Where is the time going? I feel like every time I look up, it is a month later than the last time I checked. I guess that is my fault as I keep myself super busy. Anyways, I know Easter is this weekend so you might already have an Easter dress ironed and ready to go, but I had to take a minute to share this lace number from Nordstrom with you all! This dress is definitely going to be my pick for the weekend, but it is also perfect for those spring/summer weddings you might have on the calendar. I obviously love the blush color (duh!), but the fit and the lace are perfect!
Sometimes basic is the way to go. And by basic I mean, all black. Jon Luke calls it my "Johnny Cash" look. I really cannot help it but whenever I do not want to think about getting ready, I end up in all black. It looks slimming, it goes with everything, it does not show stains...the list goes on. Something I do love when wearing all black though, is adding accessories or shoes that pop. I mean, make a statement somewhere right?
Happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was perfect and you were able to get some rest. If you live in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, etc...I hope you are staying safe! I cannot believe this storm and I am sending prayers your way for sure. But on a lighter note, I am trying my best to get back in to the swing of things here. Does anyone else find it difficult to get back into work mode after the weekend? I know for me personally, sometimes I just need a break from the weekend. I try my best to utilize my Sundays and relax but sometimes that turns in to my day to actually get things done. I know that is terrible, but I am trying!
As summer draws near, I have focused on a few things: building my summer wardrobe and getting a tan. I know that it is terrible that I am focusing on that, but I am being honest. No those are not the only things important to me at the moment, but I am not going to lie, I have been working on both. And with that being said, when I came across the white top and pant set from Nordstrom, I immediately fell in love. The fabric is perfect for summer and I love the shape the high-waisted pants and crop top give me!
