Y'all, this week has been SO many things. Good things! But super busy. And don't get me wrong, I love being busy (as I have said before), but currently I am sitting on the couch in my sweat pants, with a glass of wine and I LOVE IT. I know I do this to myself and I tend to overcommit but I have always said I would rather be busy than bored. Well now, I think I would rather be bored than busy! It is just so nice to sit and relax. Can you really blame a girl?
When shopping for formal dress options, I mainly look for versatile. I think it is important to find pieces that I can wear over and over, to multiple functions for a couple of reasons: 1. I need to save room in my closet and 2. I need to save money. I mean common sense right? But I can tell you that I am guilty of finding that trendy option that will be perfect for the wedding I have the second weekend of April, so the long sleeves wont be that bad because it will still be cool....Yeah but what happens when the wedding in the end of July rolls around? I have to buy a new one. So with that being said, when it comes to my dressier options, I try to make them work year round (or at least multiple times).
Have you ever wanted to pair items in your closet together that just by glancing, probably would not go together? Pretty much every time I get dressed this goes through my mind. I am quick to say, "Oh this is classic it will go nicely," instead of stepping out and creating a look that may stand out more than others. Don't get me wrong though, I love to stand out. And I love to create different looks that people might not otherwise consider, but in the day-to-day, "let's throw something on" process, I typically stick to what I know. Well, I have decided to work on that.
Right now, my eye is drawn to just about anything blush. I did some online shopping last week and when I went to view my cart, every item but one was some sort of blush shade. I just love it though. It is pretty much serving as a neutral in my current wardrobe and I am completely okay with it. Gotta add a little color every now and then right?
